International Building and Sustainable City Network

Winner of a European call for projects in 2012 aimed at developing an internet network for experts and professionals in sustainable construction, Construction21 has since continued to develop its partnerships and the functionalities of the network's platforms.

Having become the reference social media for building and sustainable cities, Construction21 distributes information between players in the sector, in particular via its three databases of buildings, neighborhoods and exemplary infrastructures. Construction21 thus contributes to one of the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations at the global level: “Make cities and human settlements open to all, safe, resilient and sustainable. (SDG No. 11).

As one of the founding members of the network, CIRIDD uses its skills in collaborative practices and its vocation as a resource center to provide to the C21 platform the latest advances in its "Agorasoft by CIRIDD" solution, the development of new functionalities, technical support, hosting or maintenance and securing the platform. In terms of content, Construction21 benefits from the pooling of information sources: Médiaterre, for example, is one of the most important contributors to the platform in terms of number of articles published and consulted by readers.

The Green Solutions Awards : a large-scale promotion of exemplary achievements.

Each year, Construction21 organizes the Green Solutions Awards, an international competition aimed at promoting concrete solutions to professionals around the world to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world. The 2018 edition, which generated 4.1 million views, ended in December with an awards ceremony bringing together more than 200 professionals from around the world in Katowice, Poland, on the occasion of COP24.

The Construction 21 network is made up of organisations, brought together within the international association Construction21, which pilots their national Construction21 portal and orchestrates the Green Solutions Awards in their country.
